Review
I don't even know where to start! I really hate when I love a book so much because I honestly don't know what to say... This is my first time reading a book by Mia Sosa and I just can't wait to read the rest of them! I was hooked since the very first chapter; so I guess you can tell how good is the storyline. Sosa's writing style and sense of humor isamazeballs very impressive! I enjoyed the POV. One of my book club friends asked me about the book, because she saw me gushing about it on social media, and I just told her: "it's an adult romance and VERY funny; I can already see it as a romantic comedy movie!". I enjoyed the characters, they are SO good, especially Max. Also, I'm a HUGE fan of Lina's family. But yeah, poor Max... I don't want to give any spoilers; I just think Lina could have treated him better at the beginning. Although that's kind of the point! So if you love the enemies to lovers trope, you are absolutely going to love this book.
This may sound a little weird but I hope you can understand what I mean... I'm a fan of books where a character speaks another language (instead of English), and the phrase or word is just thrown right there in the text, without any explanation. I don't know how to explain this, OMG! But yeah, I love that! I don't understand when people get mad about having words written in another language instead of English. I mean, if you don't understand a word, just search for it! Is not that complicated... But anyway, I also love the details about the Brazilian culture. I can honestly say this is one of my all-time favorites. And in case you were wondering: yes, I highly recommend The Worst Best Man!
If The Worst Best Man sounds like something you would enjoy, be sure to add it to you TBR!
