“You Have Lipstick on Your Teeth” Book Review

Have you heard of "You Have Lipstick on Your Teeth"? Oh. Em. Gee. This book is hilarious! Here's a tip... gather up with your girlfriends and organize a book-night party or something like that :) Trust me, they are going to love it! This book is just like if you were talking with your best friend. There may be stories that you can relate to, but I'm sure most of stories will sound like something you can't even imagine would happen! Like I said, just like talking with your best friend.

This book collects stories from 39 women. If you have visited their blogs, you may have an idea on what to expect. They share stories about relationships, motherhood, body changes, everything about being a woman! My favorite stories are "I Have a Dress Problem", "The (Not So) High Price of Fashion" and "Act Like You've Got Sense... Like a Mafia Don". I love the way the authors connect with you on every single story. Sometimes I even felt like I was there with them when it happened!

From cover to cover, this book will make you laugh, cry and giggle like a crazy person-- Gustavo looked at me with wide-open eyes. Lol. But he was not the only one who stared at me, my mom also did... well, everyone who was sitting near me!

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

You can order your book at Amazon today. By the way, this could be a great gift for your bestie ;)

DIY: Thread + Charm Bracelets

My little sister says she's my #1 fan. Isn't she cute? Every time I'm making something, she always wants to be the first one to try it. She loves handmade things as much as I do! She always wear the bracelets I've made her to school. One of her favorites is the thread & charm bracelet. Every time I get a new charm she likes, that means another bracelet I have to make her. So yeah, she has a lot of those bracelets :)

Anyways, since today is my little sister's birthday, I decided to show you how to make her favorite bracelets.

Materials

Thread
Jump rings
Cord end caps
Clasps
Charms
Chain nose pliers
Diagonal cutting pliers

Photo Tutorial

Step by Step

Step 1: You need 24 inches of thread. You may need more or less thread, it all depends on your wrist size. Bend the thread on the middle and add a jump ring.

Step 2: Hold both ends of the thread together and make a knot, as shown on the photo.

Step 3: After making the knot, you will have the thread together like if there was 2 threads. You need to leave a small space and then add a charm. {When leaving the space, you can check it on your wrist... the jump ring will be under the wrist, and the charm will be over the wrist-- in the middle of the wrist, like any other bracelet.}

Step 4: Now you have to make another knot, like in step 2, but this time it will be on the charm.

Step 5: After adding the charm, you need to find the other half of the thread and make a knot. Leave a small piece of thread after the knot, and cut the rest of the thread.

Step 6: Add a cord end cap at the end, as shown in the photo.

Step 7: Add a clasp, and you are done!

The Results

You can make this simple bracelet in any color, with any charm :)

What's your favorite color when it comes to bracelets? As you can see, my little sister LOVE brilliant colors!

My Wish List

This is my first time EVER sharing my wish list. Why? Well... maybe by blogging about it, Gustavo and the rest of my family everyone can see my list and get ideas on what to buy me (Lol). Oh, and maybe by actually seeing everything on the list, I can get even more excited to buy them :)

Here's the list!! (in no particular order... except for the first two!)

Do I need to explain why I want this beauty? I mean, I think every crafter would love a Silhoutte! Oh, how many cute things I would create!

Epiphanie bag
{VIA}

Ever since I saw this bag, I fall in love with it! You can fit almost anything in there. Laptop, DSRL camera, lens, cellphone, wallet, etc. For me, this bag is perfect for bloggers! Just imagine a day blogging at the park, or just attending a blog conference! I've never attended a blog conference but, when I do, I would like to be prepare for it with this gorgeous bag.

Sewing table

{VIA}

Well... I already have the sewing machine so, I would love to have a sewing table! Maybe I could buy a simple table first and then, I could buy a bigger one, like this one...

WhimseyBox subscription

{VIA}

I discovered Whimseybox just a few days ago. I cannot believe I didn't know this existed! How awesome would it be to receive a box full of crafts supplies (with project instructions) every month? AHHHHH! I want this! I need this!

Origami Owl necklace

These lockets are so unique and pretty! I love them! I would love to tell my story in a beautiful locket :) I already have in mind which charms I would include. One of the charms would be a heart (representing Gustavo and my family), and another charm would be a laptop (representing my blog). Oh, and I would also include a pearl!-- beading needs to be included in my story too.

Fabric

I want fabric!! Lots and lots of fabric! I have some projects in mind that I would love to make one day :)

Lots of Washi tape!

I also have some projects in mind that I would love to make with washi tape.

Whoa... I have to stop. I can't keep adding things to the list. So, there's the list (for now)!

What's on your wish list? Do we have something in common on the list? Do you already own any of these? Share with me your experience with the products :)

Having Fun at the Bowling Alley

I have to accept it, I don't like to go out as much as other people do. I'd rather stay at home watching TV series, blogging, crafting, or just reading. If I go out, it would be to the movies with Gus, eat with our friends, or something like that. But you know what? Now I can add something else to my list of things I like to do.

Last month for Gustavo's Birthday, we went to the bowling alley with our closest friends. Then, we went to Gustavo's home to eat pizza, played Guesstures and Apples to Apples (two of my favorite board games!). We had a great time! and I was happy to see that Gustavo was having fun :) I totally forgot to share some photos with all of you but, here they are.

take a look at Gustavo's style!

and what about my style? Lol

I was just standing there... I couldn't believe it.

 the final scores!!

After we went to the bowling alley for Gustavo's Birthday, we wanted to go there again because it was fun! and we really had an amazing time. So... we decided to go again! :) This time we went with Gustavo's family. Before I share some photos with you again, I'm just going to say it... I'm SOOO bad at bowling!! Lol. But at least I didn't fall!

I can't wait to go again! The bowling alley is a great place to spend time with your family and friends :)
