Scrapbooking and Project Life Tutorial

Scrapbooking was my first hobbie. Have you heard of it? It's like making a collage of photos but decorating them in a "book". I've made two... Ok, I'll be honest. I haven't finished them! And you'll see why. They are still in process but I'm loving them :)

I started doing the first scrapbook with pictures just of my boyfriend and I. We have been together for almost 6 years so, yeah... we have a lot of pictures! I don't know when I'll finish it. Maybe when we get married I'll stop with this one and start a new scrapbook ;)

I started the second scrapbook in 2010. I had the opportunity to work on Walt Disney World as part of the Disney College Program. I went to Disney to work there with my boyfriend and his cousin. We took a lot of pictures in the semester we stay there. I only choose the best photos for the scrapbook but I haven't finish it yet. I even ran out of page protection... but don't worry! I found them and I started to work on it again.
If you don't have the time to make a scrapbook or you are not a crafty person, there's something NEW you could try... it's like a digital scrapbook. Have you heard of Project Life? I've never heard of it until Jessie, a fellow blogger I met on Online BlogCon, told me about it.

Here's a preview of Jessie's creation
Do you like it? Well guess what? She made a tutorial! She also included the template download at the bottom of the tutorial. Go over her blog and check it out: Design Tips: Project Life Tutorial.

  1. Project Life doesn't have to be digital.. its just an "easier" form of scrapbooking because the pages are like page protectors and you slide pictures in..

  2. I tried it and then decided it made my pictures look tacky. Then I tried using up my supplies and scrapbooking recipes. Now I've decided that's archaic and I should be digital.. :)

    1. That's true. I think doing it like Project Life is way better than the original scrapbook. It's easier and the pictures will always look great!

  5. I have seen this a lot lately. I have a digital scrapbooking program, but it literally takes me hours and hours to find all the embellishments and templates that I want to use. I haven't purchased any of the product yet, but am seriously considering it. It just seems like a simpler way to do it. And faster. I'll be sure to check out the tutorial, thanks!

    1. I don't have a scrapbooking program yet. But I think Jessie's tutorial with Photoshop is easier than those kind of programs. I hope it helps you!! :)
